Le Casette del Porto

Le Casette del Porto sono case ed appartamenti per vacanze ricavate dalla ristrutturazione delle antiche abitazioni dei pescatori e si trovano all'interno dello storico borgo marinario di Sciacca.

 

Il borgo è ancora oggi abitato dai pescatori e le sue strade e i suoi vicoli sono costellati da aziende ittico-conserviere e da magazzini per la sistemazione delle reti da pesca. Verso le due del pomeriggio è possibile assistere al ritorno dei pescherecci e partecipare all'asta del pesce proveniente direttamente dalle imbarcazioni. Dopo Mazara del Vallo, Sciacca è la seconda marineria più grande della Sicilia. Il caratteristico contesto in cui si trovano Le Casette del Porto consente di trascorrere una vacanza unica immersa nella vita e nei ritmi del porto.

 

 

 

 

The Casette del Porto are holiday houese obtained from the renovation of the old houses of the fishermen and are located within the historic seaman area of Sciacca, that is still inhabited by fishermen and its streets and alleys are dotted with fish - canning companies and warehouses for the accommodation of fishing nets .

 

Sciacca is the second fishing navy in Sicily. Sciacca harbour is a very carateristic port: in the night the boats goes out to go fishing. Between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. the boats came back full of fish and sell it directly to the dock, just below the apartment. In the other hours the harbour became quiet and peaceful. There is a succession of frenetic rhythm and peaceful quiet.
